Easter Weekend 2014

And he said to them, "Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; behold, here is the place where they laid Him.
Mark 16:6

We are so thankful that we worship a living God!  Easter is a wonderful time to reflect, refocus, and just thank God for sending his son to die on the cross for our sins. I am blessed to say "He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!"

Good Friday:
We enjoyed a family day at home relaxing, playing outside, and just enjoying the beautiful weather.  After Connor's afternoon nap, we headed to see the Easter Bunny.  I wasn't to worried about Connor and the bunny because Connor did well visiting Santa, but I was WRONG!  Connor did not like the Easter bunny at all, and well, the picture says it all.

Easter 2013
After visiting the Easter bunny, we headed to dinner and enjoyed some play time and silly pictures...

Our final destination for Good Friday was at church where we enjoyed a wonderful service on the death of Jesus, and how he paid it all for our sins.  It was a wonderful way to get the Easter weekend started.

This picture melts my heart... He loves his PaPa so much...

Our family of three at church

Saturday:
We loaded up the car for a 4 1/2 hour drive down to my uncle's ranch, and had a wonderful time.  For a husband who is all country, and a little boy who loves to be outside, they were in heaven!!! Chad took Connor on the 4-wheeler (sad, I didn't get a picture), we visited with family, and had Easter egg hunt #1, and just over all had a wonderful time.  Connor had a blast with hunting eggs, and really understood what to do.  At this egg hunt, there were a TON of confetti eggs, so he had a blast cracking those open and throwing the confetti.
I love this picture....like father like son!

Sunday:
Since we went to the Good Friday service, and had a late night getting home from our trip, we stayed home from church and went over to PaPa and NaNa's house about mid-morning for our Easter celebration at their house. I always love when Hudson, Sydney, and Connor get to play together.  We had a relaxing day playing outside, eating hamburgers, and just enjoying our family time.
Hudson and Connor were fighting over the Golden Egg...

 and Connor was victorious....
Connor LOVES bubbles
Sunday Evening:
After a wonderful day with my parents, we headed home, took a nap and then had the last egg hunt of Easter at our house.
We said the word "outside" and then asked him to take a picture... BIG MISTAKE!  Once he hears "outside" there is no turning back.  He LOVES the outdoors.

We hope your Easter was filled with love, memories, and relaxation.

New Year's Eve:2013 and New Year: 2014

New Year's Eve 2013
We are not big New Year's Eve people mainly because we struggle stay up past 9:00 p.m. (ha!) on any night, so our plans for the evening are never big, and now that we have Connor we rarely have much going on, so like most years we kept it low key.  We went to visit some old friends that Chad knew growing up from church with our family from Alaska.  I didn't get many pictures from that night, but I did have these...

New Year 2014
January 1st of any year is always special because we get to celebrate the marriage of two wonderful people.... MY PARENTS!  It is tradition that we go over to their house and spend the day with them just enjoying family time, and the love that we have for each other.  This year we got a little crazy and played some board games that tested us mentally and physically.
